Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam 1870, Edward Burne Jones 1833 – 1898, Page from an illuminated manuscript of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám is the title that Edward FitzGerald gave to his 1859 translation from Persian to English of a selection of quatrains (rubāʿiyāt) attributed to Omar Khayyam (1048–1131), dubbed "the Astronomer-Poet of Persia".

From the time I was a child I have been intrigued with the patterning of light and the interaction of color.
